Bulk Import Student Absences

This function outputs all student absences from SMS to a spreadsheet.

RECOMMENDED: Do this just prior to reports being distributed.  This will give you the most up to date absence data.

Concept

1. Download the Student Absences queries (there are 2: Absences Total and Unexplained Absences)
2. Copy and paste the queries into SMS Access.  Save the queries.
3. Export the student absences as spreadsheets from SMS
4. Import the spreadsheets into ReportCard

Making he SMS queries

1. Click here to copy the first query: Absences Total.
2. The same concept applies here when exporting your student list from SMS.  Click here and follow the instructions but remember that the query you are saving will be called ABSENCES TOTAL.
3. Click here to copy the second query: Absences Unexplained.
4. Apply the same technique above to save and export your unexplained absences.
    

Importing into ReportCard

1. Make your queries and export them as spreadsheets from SMS first!!
2. Select the Year Date
3. Select the reporting period
4. Select the spreadsheet import
5. Browse for your spreadsheet
6. Click Import
