Getting KidTrack ready for 2008 

Happy New Year

KidTrack requires some maintenance in order to get underway for 2008.  You can expect an upgrade very soon with new functions and statistical reports.  The upgrade will migrate all your existing data into the latest version. 

Backup

Please ensure that KidTrack is backed up and stored appropriately.  Your technician will advise you on this. 

Subscriptions

Your anual subscription will be emailed to you very soon.  On receipt of your subscription, your renewal code will be emailed to you for KidTrack to operate in 2008.

Day 8

Import your 2008 student list from SMS after day 8.  Please see the KidTrack help files on importing student data from SMS.

SWT Test Data

The 2007 SWT data is available for download from the corporate data wharehouse.  Whilst you can import this now, just be aware that the data won't marry up to student names until your have imported your current student list after day 8.  Please see the KidTrack Help files on importing SWT data.

PLEASE NOTE:

1. You will need to type in the state wide averages for each aspect.  Please see the KidTrack help files on updating SWT averages.
2. The CDW data downloads save as text files... even though they appear as spreadsheets.  You need to open the files, slick save and save them in the latest excel format.  Overwrite the old file... the data is the same anyway.

Averages 2008

Download and import the 2007 SWT averages into KidTrack

Instructions

1. BackUp KidTrack
2. Download and save the above file to your desktop.
3. Unzip and run the SWTAverages import
4. Browse for KidTrack on your server (Please ask your technician if you can't find it)
5. The import takes a few seconds and will close when its finished.
6. Delete the downloaded file if you wish to clean your desktop

Data (inc Measurement) – 517

Space – 518

Numeracy Overall – 514

Reading – 600

Writing – 594

Spelling – 596
